While discussing the "Bobber Build Off" in their workshop, there was an enamel sign on display advertising one of the most influential Triumph models, the original 1938 5T Speed Twin.
The inspiration came when the team noticed the similarities in the shape and lines of the original Speed Twin and the current Bobber, and decided to recreate its key features, bringing it up to date in a modern guise.

The team at Pure Wellingborough knew there was only one colour scheme, to replicate the original Speed Twin design. Using modern paint technology they were able to make the colour more vibrant, swapping the original Amaranth Red with the modern Lava Red.
The team has modified the original seat base to included a pivot and springs to make it feel like an authentic Speed Twin seat, as well as extending the front and rear fenders to emulate an iconic Speed Twin feature. In addition custom-made bespoke girder forks complete this custom design.
